Dental offices

Operatories cleaned around your chairs and instruments

For general, pediatric and specialty dental practices. We clean the room, and we never touch what your assistants set up.

  • An operatory card for each room: where the chair, light and unit arm must stay

  • Cleaned and disinfected around trays, handpieces and the autoclave

  • A signed night log to your office manager by morning

How a night goes

From the text that the crew is in to the log in the morning

  1. 01
    Setup

Step 1: Card first, then keys

Kelechi Nwankwo sets up each operatory card at the walkthrough: where the chair, the light and the unit arm sit when we arrive.

  2. 02
    After your last patient

Step 2: The crew texts that it is in

The lead texts your office manager on arrival and checks the alarm.

  3. 03
    Protocol

Step 3: Operatories one at a time

Each room goes through the same six steps, and the unit and light go back to the marked position.

  4. 04
    Close

Step 4: Reception, restrooms, floors and the log

The crew finishes the public areas, sets the alarm and sends the log, with anything flagged on top.

Before and not at all

What to do before we arrive, and what we do not do

  • Before we arrive

What your staff set up so the night goes to plan.

    • Close and seal sharps containers and put instruments in the instrument-processing area

    • Lock cabinets that hold records, medication or supplies

    • Mark any floor area or equipment to skip

    • Leave the unit and chair in the position you want them in

  • What we do not do

Clinical work stays with your clinical staff.

    • Handle, open or carry out sharps or regulated medical waste

    • Reprocess instruments or touch the autoclave

    • Open charts, drawers, cabinets or screens

    • Clean up blood or body-fluid spills beyond marking the spot and calling your designated person

    • Fog, spray or "treat" the air in a room

Questions

Two or three things people ask

Do you disinfect the dental unit and chair?

Only the surfaces your card names, with a product your practice already uses or one of the classes on the protocol page. We never touch instruments, handpieces or trays.

What about the instrument-processing room?

We clean the floor and the counters outside the marked work area. We do not touch instruments, cassettes or the autoclave.

Do we have to move the chairs?

No. We clean around them and leave them as you set them.
